Forget fine dining.

Across the globe, some of the best, most authentic local dishes are cooked right on the street. Typically, street food is tasty, ready-to-eat food or drink sold on the street, in a market, fair, park or other public place. It is sold by a hawker or vendor from a portable stall, cart or food truck. Some street foods are regional but many are not, having spread beyond their place of origin and enjoyed locally for their exotic or unusual ingredients and flavors.

Street food includes Dim Sum, amazing little treats served on the street such as crispy wontons, potstickers and other delicacies, steamed to perfection and served hot with delicious dipping sauces. This course tackles tasty street food from around the world. Other delicacies are spicy appetizers with meat, poultry, fish, vegetables or salad, and can be enjoyed at any time of the day. They look so tempting that you just have to try them. These days street food and tapas pretty much fall into the same category and many restaurants and food stands serve these as the only fare.

Some street vendors have even been awarded Michelin Star status for their recipes handed down from generation to generation.

This course will teach you how to make a variety of mouth-watering tapas, street food dishes and starters to compliment a meal or to merely enjoy as a lunch with a bottle of chilled wine…
