Anyone can cook, but not everyone can master the art of creating perfect flavours in every dish you create.
Cooking is all about balancing and contrasting different sensory experiences. Just like art is about balancing and contrasting colors and textures. Our flavour receptacles are complex mechanisms for identifying and matching flavours to what we are familiar with and what we like, making use of the basic flavours of sweet, sour, bitter and salt. The ultimate balancing of all of these four flavours into a perfect combination to provide a full flavour compliment to any dish or meal.

Your tongue is the ultimate guide for deciding which ingredients go together, and on this demonstration and participation course we’ll train you to identify what flavours work together, how much of which flavour to add and what makes a perfectly rounded dish.
